TACTICAL SHOTGUN COURSES

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Basic Shotgun Course -$295 per person

 

This course is appropriate for beginners with little to no experience with shotguns. The course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the shotgun and the unique role it plays on the battlefield as well as being utilized for riots, breaching doors, hunting, sport shooting, controlling wildlife and particularly home defense. The difference between buckshot, birdshot and rifled slugs will be explained. The focus will be on the .12 gauge shotgun, however different calibers such as the .20 gauge, .10 gauge and .410 will be studied as well. The course covers the various types of shotguns, such as double barrel, over-under, lever action, pump-action and semi-automatic. Participants will fire a .12 gauge pump action shotgun after the classroom material is complete, using all 3 ammunition types. The first part of the course will take place in the classroom and will include theory and dry-fire drills. After a 1-hr lunch break, we will do several hours of live fire training on the range.

 

Intermediate Tactical Shotgun Course -$395 per person

 

This is appropriate for those with some experience with pump action shotguns. This is the ultimate course for those wishing to develop practical defensive skills on this ultra-versatile, hard-hitting, close-quarter-combat weapon. The course will cover: parts and functioning of the pump action shotgun, basic field stripping, using bead, ghost ring and holographic sights, proper methods of slinging the weapon, the 3 shooting positions (standing, kneeling and prone), understanding the differences and tactical uses of birdshot, buckshot and slugs, rapid reloads, shooting after physical exertion, shooting in low-light conditions, shooting around obstacles, clearing corners and basic CQB (close quarter battle). This course will utilize Remington 870 and Mossberg 590 .12 Gauge tactical shotguns. The first part of the course will take place in the classroom and will include theory and dry-fire drills. After a 1-hr lunch break, we will do several hours of live fire training on the range.

 

Advanced Tactical Shotgun Course -$495 per person

 

This course is appropriate for those with extensive experience with tactical shotguns and focuses on the Israeli close quarter combat methods known as "Lashab" (Urban Warfare) and "Lotar" (Counter-Terror shooting). This course includes training with body armor, Kevlar helmets and full combat gear. The course focuses on intense close-quarter shooting techniques such as room clearing, attacking an enemy emplacement and advancing and shooting as a team. This course covers shooting from a vehicle, shooting after extreme physical exertion, clearing stoppages under fire, cover and concealment, rapid fire techniques, transitioning from shotgun to pistol, and identifying and terminating hostile threats while avoiding harming bystanders.

Prices quoted above are on a per-person basis. We provide discounted rates to groups of more than four participants. All courses listed above are one-day courses. They last from approximately 9:00am until 5:00pm and include a one hour lunch break. The price includes ammunition, range access, tactical gear, ear and eye protection, targets, etc. We provide the firearms for each course, however if you have your own gun(s) that you wish to use during the course, please check with us in advance. All courses must be paid for in full in advance, and are non-refundable. Because of this we advise everyone to be 100% certain well in advance that they will be able to attend the course they book on the particular date they choose. Courses must be booked a minimum of one week in advance. Courses are available Sunday through Friday. No courses given on Saturdays or Jewish holidays. All those applying for courses must be legally eligible to handle firearms. All those attending courses must be at least 18 years of age. Minors over age 12 are allowed to attend basic courses with parent or legal guardian present and with written consent.
